7 – 9Th Graders

• Individual Academic Plan

• Prepares student for smooth transition to High School

• Access to Pre-Test PSAT Resources

• Grade level specific information about financial aid options on “How to pay for College

• Research the 4 different college systems

• Explore various college and career options

• Analyze personal interests, abilities and skills through self assessments.

• Develop leadership skills to prepare student to advocate for self in transitioning to college

 

10-11th Graders

• Comprehensive Individual Academic Plan

• Transcript Evaluation

• Start to prepare “Going To College “ Portfolio

• Active participation in meaninful extra-curricular activities: Volunteer & community service opportunities

• Investigate funding sources and continue to save for college

• Identify interests, values, aptitudes and opportunities related to careers that you are interested in.

• Asking the right questions when talking to college representatives visiting your  campus

• Setting realistic short term & long term goals

• Develop a criteria  for posssible individuals to ask for recommendations –teachers, counselors, employers and coaches.

• Strategize, Prepare and Register for PSAT

 

12th Graders (Seniors)
